le: Hybrid STEM Teaching and the Flipped Classroom Instructor: Michael G.
Hines\, M.Ed. Course Description: The Hybrid STEM Teaching and the Flipped
Classroom course is designed for mathematics and science teachers seeking
to enhance their understanding and proficiency in dividing learning delib
erately between individual and group learning spaces. Over four comprehens
ive modules\, participants will explore the shift to student-centred facil
 itation\, the TPACK framework\, the design of pre-class concept-readiness
work\, and the structuring of active in-class time using inquiry\, coopera
tive learning\, and physical textbooks. This course offers educators pract
ical insights\, diverse examples\, and invaluable strategies to synthesize
these elements into effective hybrid STEM lesson plans using components o
f the 5-Step and 5E models. Upon completion of this course\, teachers will
possess a comprehensive understanding of hybrid learning and flipped meth
odologies. They will be equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to de
 sign well-structured pre-class assignments\, manage engaging face-to-face
active learning sessions\, and draft complete flipped lesson outlines tail
ored to their own classrooms. By mastering these principles\, educators wi
ll be better prepared to meet the diverse needs of their STEM students and
facilitate meaningful educational experiences. The course covers four (4)
